So a lot of people have asked what the process was like renovating a dinky little building, and turning it into a lovely photography studio.  I'm a firm believer in "A picture is worth a thousand words" so I will try to keep my comments brief.  See below...          (P.S. Shout out to Cory at Summit Electrical! Not only did he do a great job, he was a pleasure to be around!  Also to Paul at NestBuilders who rocked the pocket door install.)  Additional thanks to the parental units, Andrew, Heidi, Peter, my boys Eli and Oliver (for comic relief alone), Kathy, Misty and Terry.

To see the completed studio...come on in!  :)

Looking for some date ideas this Valentine's?  You're welcome...

  • We may be experiencing some odd weather lately, but here's a way to enjoy a winter activity, inside!  Ice Skating at our very own Redwood Empire Ice Arena! For public session times and more info, visit their website at http://www.snoopyshomeice.com/skating.html
  • Row, row, row, your boat...  I am a huge fan of spending time at Spring Lake/Howarth Park/Lake Ralphine.  Although the rentals aren't yet open for the season, this is a fantastic time to spend time with your loved one.  Borrow that friend's canoe, kayak or paddle boat and take a few leisurely spins around the lake together.  Timeless romance for any day of the year.
  • Stargazing- Find a tranquil outdoor setting and bring a hammock, reclining chairs or even an air mattress.  While sipping on a beverage of your choice, make your own constellations and name them.
  • Volunteer together- Find an interest in a common cause and donate time together.  There really are so many volunteering opportunities in Sonoma County.  Need help narrowing it down?  Contact the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County.  Feeling less formal?  Grab your guy or gal and head out to clean a trail or park.
  • Take a ski day- With beautiful Tahoe so close, planning a trip to hit the slopes is pretty easy.
  • Scavenger Hunt- Throughout your house or throughout the city- a scavenger hunt for your sweetheart to embark upon is playful and fun.
  • Be adventurous- Bungee jumping, skydiving, zip lining, rock climbing.  Anything out of your comfort zone is sure to be a memorable experience.

Okay people, you've got some ideas, now get out there and make some memories!
